I always wanted to go to art school and as a mature student in the 1980’s I attended St Martins and Sir John Cass in London, specialising in painting and printmaking.
I completed C & G certification to teach adults in further education and became part time lecturer in Art & Design at Amersham College. I had to retire after being diagnosed with MS. Due to increasing immobility my art practice has developed in different directions and now I use digital – yet another form of print making, mixing this with drawing painting and photography. For the past year I have been fascinated with dying flowers, the beauty and human characteristics I see in their forms. In my work I see transience and the promise of renewal..
